I can't believe this. I genuinely cannot believe that this level is FINALLY complete. I'm genuinely tearing up as I write that SuperStep is my new hardest completed level. This level has tested me harder mentally than any other level in my life. It's evolved with me, as I kept buffing it to match my improving skill level. I didn't want to rush through this level. Eight thousand new attempts later, along with the fifteen thousand old attempts, I think it's safe to say I did just that.

Worst Fails: 97% (old version), 96%, 83%, 75%, 72%
Attempts: 23624
Enjoyment: 7.6/10

I think it'll be neat to give a synopsis of this level in case anyone actually wants to beat it (which, you probably shouldn't, it's not extremely fun), so let's discuss.

The first thing I want to say about this level is that the beginning is kinda really boring, and it's pretty consistent. This makes it so that instead of dying over and over to the beginning, you're dying over and over to like 24 or something. This makes deaths early on in the level more painful since if you die at the drop you have to redo the whole predrop. On the other hand, the memory part of the predrop was seriously fun for me, especially when it got consistent. It looks harder than it is, since it's only 6 clicks. Basically a mini version of the Silent Clubstep ending, but you can't see the player so it's a little more interesting.

The drop is kinda really painful. The first UFO is just extremely inconsistent and annoying and I died there a ton. I also died to 33% a lot but that's really just my own fault, it's really easy. The ball clicks right before the 37 ship aren't extremely hard but they demand a LOT of focus. The 37 ship itself is probably one of the harder parts of the level. Getting past it means reaching 40%, which basically signifies a "far" run where I start to focus a lot more.

The orbs in the 40% cube are SO ANNOYING but I weirdly like them. It's fun to pass but dying to them sucks because you just made it past the 38% straight fly and you don't want to screw up right before the hardest part of the level. If you hit the last blue orb late you can sometimes hit the saw on the right side which is so incredibly stupid. I don't know why I didn't fix it. It leads into a ship which is pretty easy in the first half when you're doing long strokes between red orbs but then the second part with the straight fly is deceptively hard and I died there a lot. I had like 50% success rate there I think. The start of the UFO is fine but can be annoying to die to, which I did a lot.

The fading spike UFO jump at like 55% or something I don't even remember is one of the three hardest clicks in the level, it's super tight and you can't see it since the spikes fade out. This absorbs a crap ton of your attempts here and it's only the first of the three crazy hard clicks. Everything in the rest of the UFO is fine and the start of the ball is fine too but the LAST click of this ball, at 57%, is the single hardest timing in the level, it's crazily difficult. Getting past the UFO click is awesome and then if you get past this too you start to go nuts and it becomes really hard to keep calm. It doesn't help that right after that you gotta do the SECOND hardest click in the level in the ball at 60%, the second click of the ball is crazy, like, you gotta basically abuse hitboxes in order to do it. If you pull off this click, you've passed all the really hard stuff in the level, so it's a massive deal. I got past this click less than 10 times before I beat the level.

The rest of that general section is pretty easy, I used to do a lot of practice runs from 65% as a warmup because the rest of the level is a lot easier, but it's not completely free. There's a straight fly with gravity portals coming up that's kinda awkward and the wave and ship right after are surprisingly chokeable. The part which has been deemed the "piano keys" part that comes after at like 75% is kinda hard and I actually died there once. The portals don't throw you off much but it's easy to not click long enough so you'll hit the spikes instead of the blue portal that'll correct you.

The rest of the level is pretty free. The ball at the very end of the drop is the last bit that could be considered hard, which I luckily didn't die to. Unfortunately, I DID die right after to 83% which is really sad since it's really not a hard part. After that it's relatively smooth sailing to the end. The last 10% wasn't buffed at all from 9 months ago, unlike pretty much everything else, just because I didn't want to die there. Unfortunately, I did, at 96%. That last triple spike and dash orb are so incredibly painful. For the past two days I've done 40-97 runs before starting to play from 0, so I was really worried I would die at 97%. I practiced it by getting 96-100 20 times in a row, which I got on my second try. Nerves screwed me over, but it's okay. Here I am, alive. It's a decent level, not for everyone though.
