The SSGL Team assembles for what could be, the first ever Asphalt 9: Legends 4-player splitscreen play! As we never played the series before, we take a moment to get acquainted!
We understand the series has been on mobile for around 15 years. And it is now that it has become available for console. In this case, as a Nintendo Switch exclusive apparently.
Well, some genius decided it would be a good idea to add a Split Screen mode!
The mode is unlocked after collecting 13 flags in the single player campaign. Once in, one is given several areas to choose from, each containing a number of track variants.
Like in Fast RMX, one can choose the number of laps. However, there's no CPU player support here.
There is however, an alternate Slipstream mode on can choose from, which at the time of this recording, didn't knew what that was.
These tracks are turning out to be more complex than those found in Fast RMX, with alternate passages everywhere.
I also noticed one gets to keep the mini-radar on this one, despite being in 4-player splitscreen, which is good.
