The three of us assemble (no CPU players), and face off on the three tracks that compromise the Argon Cup. Various obstacles and hazards up the splitscreen racing thrills! Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro.
(2:00) Iceland.
Definitely the craziest of the three Argon tracks (and perhaps, the entire game). Unique here is that one races on a pipe, instead of a road. The possibility of losing control and disorientation is real.
As if this weren't enough, rings and moving spiders dot the pipe portion of the track!
(6:34) Storm Coast.
Although the bad weather doesn't affect vehicle performance, the road here broken up into segments, much like the Chuoku City track, leading into constant hopping.
Learning to synchronize the hopping with Boost usage is key in this medium difficulty track.
One of this jumps however, can prove fatal, if not handled properly!
(10:52) Kamagori City.
This one features one of the coolest obstacles ever: What looks like giant mechanical spiders from the movie Wild Wild West (1999) roam across the track. Their huge legs are capable of either crushing or fatally blocking vehicles!
Also of note are the Jump Pads that propell vehicles in the air, over conduits that have Orbs floating above them. And since grabbing Orbs in such a fashion fill one's Boost Meter much faster, that can lead to some extended high speed fights for first place!
