ElGato rec. The Droideka (Destroyer Droid) is here! I exercise caution as I swing into Wheel Form and roll off into the treacherous terrain of a settlement, ready to engage! Vid timeline:

We play as:

First player: Separatist Droideka.
Blaster: Twin Blaster Cannons.
Abilities: Wheel Form, Overload, Energy Shield.
Boost Cards: Survivalist, Acquisition, Battle Hardened.

Second player: Galactic Republic Jet Trooper.
Blaster: DC-17.
Abilities: Jetpack Boost, Rocket Launcher, Jetpack Dash.
Boost Cards: Improved Rocket Launcher, Survivalist, Battle Hardened.

The Droideka has this very cool feature of being able to transform into a ball that can roll at high speeds. Turns out the ability lasts indefinitely. This makes it quite useful getting out of tight situations or for falling back and regrouping since it's normal speed it's quite slow. Despite it's firepower, it isn't recommended to engage the enemy alone.

Speaking of firepower, first impressions told me the Droideka favors volume of fire over damage output. Seems great for fire suppression tactics, with the overload ability.

It's shields where weaker that expected. But I guess this was to be expected due to it's unique ability of being able to fire through them! And they recharge quite fast too.

It becomes fun to control this droid, once one gets into the rhythm of things: ability recharge speeds in relation to how one gets on and out of roll form.

In this case, I went for survivability with the cards, due to the smaller scale of this setup, which was also in an indoors environment. Because having that Expert Weapons Handling card really increases that volume of fire I previously mentioned, which sounds good for larger outdoor battles.
