ElGato rec. No battle chatter/commentary. We expand from 2 to the full 4-Player, this time switching to Gate Case, a mode that can be Team played. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro.
(1:18) Race begins.
We play as:
First Player: Lucas (Twitchy).
Paint: 1/5.
Boosting: 5/5.
Handling: 1/5.
Second Player: Boo's Dad (Slippery).
Paint: 2/5.
Boosting: 5/5.
Handling: 1/5.
Third Player: Jetstream (Balanced).
Paint: 3/5.
Boosting: 2/5.
Handling: 4/5.
When playing in Gate Chase, the vehicle's abilities to lay down paint are locked. Instead mode Gates are added as a result.
As such, re-painting is not possible. Therefore, it is prudent for one to capture as many Gates as possible to gather the points to win.
This makes this particular mode a good choice for those new at Trailblazers.
Did came here expecting the mode to be a Free for All type however. Not so. In this match, myself as Player 1 teamed up with Player 3 to become the Blue Team vs Red Players 2 and 4.
Boo's Dad is a character that's exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version. Like Lucas, he boast serious Boosting power. But can lay more paint! Wondering then if his standard speed is a bit less as a result.
