Switching Terminals In Boston Logan Airport? I Was Very UNLUCKY! | Priority Pass Travel Tip
I have a quick travel tip for all you Priority Pass members out there! How many of you have intentionally traveled to the airport with the intention that you were going to wait in a member / vip lounge? I know I have!
Basically, my flight was later on in the day and I had to checkout of my hotel. I thought -- why not use my priority pass membership and just chill in a lounge while I wait for my flight? Well, I tried doing that, but I was really unlucky. ALL terminals in Boston Logan Airport EXCEPT FOR Terminal A have a lounge / restaurant that allow the Priority Pass members either lounge access or some sort of restaurant bill credit. Of course, my flight was in the ONLY terminal at the airport that did not have anything in partnership with Priority Pass.
First idea was to try to switch. I asked several airport personnel if I would be allowed to switch terminals. The answer I received was ambiguous at best, and did not paint a promising picture. First of all, I would have had to check out, check in to the new terminal, check out, and check back in at my terminal in which my flight was actually located. Secondly, I was did not know if the going to the other terminal was allowed, given that my flight does not depart from that terminal. These two factors basically formed my decision to stay put, and waste a few hours just sitting around. It was a risk I was not willing to take, and it seemed like such a hassle.
I thought, personally, that it was weird how inter-terminal transfer would have been such a hassle, if possible at all. I've been to airports where switching terminals is seamless and easy. Don't expect that from Boston Logan International Airport.
