Yep, Tails got his own adventure three years before Sonic did! ;D

For today's filler video, Gemini's taking a quick look at Tails Adventure, a Game Gear game released by Sega late in 1995 which follows a very different formula from a typical Sonic game, instead focussing on exploration and using the items you find to get past obstacles.

The second half of this video however is more a demonstration (thanks to my actual cart of this game) as to why I've lived most of my life recommending against using rubbing alcohol to clean game carts... though as you'll see if you read the comments, I may have been mislead this entire time up to now... More investigation is required! :o

Additional Information and Corrections:

* So... the comments so far are stating that rubbing alcohol shouldn't have resulted in scratches like what occurred on my copy of the game, yet I have TWO different carts from the same service with this same pattern of clean-but-scratched-up-and-gold-less contacts, with said service having explicitly told me they used rubbing alcohol to clean the carts they acquired... however, I will admit, they never revealed what they used to physically scrub the contacts... It seems it may be more likely their cleaning instrument itself was the cause of the damage, or that their cleaning instrument in combination with rubbing alcohol produced enough abrasive force to scratch through the metal. I'm hoping to follow up on this in a future video to investigate these possibilities myself with some worthless but clean cart PCBs, provided I can acquire some! :B

* I don't actually know the exact pronunciation of Sega's "Pico" console as I've heard it pronounced many different ways and I've never really seen an official pronunciation for it stated anywhere... I imagine if I ever saw any commercials for it that would've helped, but amazingly, I never have. :P

* If you have Sonic Adventure DX over on Steam and want to get the Better SADX patch, check out this community guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=299808681

* ...yes, for those who have seen my life-sized, hand-made Fluttershy and Ralsei plushies, I've kinda wanted a large Tails plushie for quite a long time too, but they were already pricey and collectable even once I started collecting plushies in the late 90s and Tails is complex enough in his design that I was never quite sure how to make a plushie of him on my own accord, as my sewing skills are pretty basic. Maybe someday. :B
