Take Control? The Sudden Conclusion Of The Game To Main Game (Control Ultimate 11)
I went into this session with three overall goals. Try to the Jukebox expedition again now that I have better mods. Do some side missions to max out at least one tree and last go through the Ashtray Maze. I couldn't have truly known what I was getting myself into....
The Jukebox expedition wasn't all that bad, my modifier was on spin (which I haven't really used) which made this run something that would be within my control. I think I only died twice going through all 5 sections. I made good time completing all of them, which I found out that I needed because I had to deal with invisible Hiss before I could truly complete the expedition.
After completing the expedition I thought that traversing the Ashtray Maze would simply unlock the next skill point I would need to fully upgrade Launch and I'd end up in a new area, but unknowingly wondered into the last conflict of the game.
The Ashtray Maze needed Ahti's cassette player and I was graced with an amazing song accompanying me while I fought my way through waves of hiss. Truly a high point of this entire game, plus the fact that the lyrics seemed to be solely about Jesse thus made for the game made it that much better.
Once I got to the other side of the maze I basically did events in this order without ruining it for you:
1- found new sector
2- found out what darling knew and why he's missing
3- the poster came down
4- lost control
5- gained more questions about Ahti
6- figured out how Dylan is involved in the events that effected the oldest house
7- I know why Trench shot himself
8- took control back
9- finished the main game
that's all I want to say if you haven't completed the game for yourself. I didn't know so many events would transpire going through the Ashtray Maze and I couldn't have guess all of the reasons things worked out the way they did. I know having the ultimate edition of the game that I have 2 expansions to work through, so this isn't the end. I will return to the game soon, I just need to pace myself when diving back into the game and prepare for the game that I'll be playing next.
