First off, Happy New Years to all (albeit late, but that's normal for me anyway)! And thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. ^_^ Kinda sucks that I had to spend half of December studying for all of my exams though. And I admittedly spent the other half vegetating and playing games. ^^;;

Now for some translation notes. I had quite a difficult time translating this part since it took me a while to decide how I wanted to portray Dymlos and Woodrow (which is one of the reasons why it took so long for me to finish this). Dymlos is a tough one...he's kinda a mix between Eugene (militaristic tone), Agarte (formal tone), Jade (sarcastic tone), and Judas/Leon (condescending tone). Because he has such a spectrum of voices though, I tried not to go to any extremes unless the situation called for it. Woodrow is not exactly easy either just because the parts of his dialogue that distinguish him from everyone else are much more subtle; overall, he tends to be more indirect and soft in tone at this point of the game. Anyway, if you notice these things, then great, I got my point across. If not, well, there's always the patch, right? Oh, and just to clarify, I have absolutely nothing to do with the ToD PS2 patch that Cless and throughhim are working on (which is probably a good thing for them ^^;;)

Another thing to point out is that I did change the spelling of some of the cities. Now, I normally don't touch names, but honestly, some of the spellings were just plain bugging the tar out of me. Plus, I've already managed to mess up the spelling of Darilsheid about 5 times already in ToD2 (Ive been spelling it Darilshade), so I might as well just take some liberties with the other cities as well. For your reference, I changed Phandaria to Fandaria and Lienea to Leene, plus Ill probably just keep Darilshade since thats what I've been using all this time (why nobody tell me? ;_;). Again, I'm not working on the ToDr patch, so you don't have to worry about my spellings showing up in there if you absolutely hate them. Just to be consistent with my work, I'll probably keep the spellings the same for ToD2, but I'll make sure to change them back to their official spellings when I turn in the script to Cless (they've got people triple-checking this sort of stuff too, so it'll get changed either way).
Anyway, I'll do my best to remember to make note of any other changes that I decide to make.

Thirdly, about the sensei translation for Alba. I know that it's the convention to translate SENSEI to Master in this type of context, but I ended up going with Sir in this particular case. The reason why is because the term Master generally refers to a Swordian Master in Tales of Destiny land, so I thought that it might get confusing if I used the title Master to refer to Alba. It does become clear later on that he's not a Swordian Master candidate or whatnot, but seeing as he's a rather minor character and that Sir can also be used as a term of respect (especially for older men), that was the next best choice in my mind. Great, now Im having flashbacks of Luke running around screaming, Master Van, Master Van! *shudders*

Oh, and as a side note, it took me forever to get that background color for the Chats. I know it ain't a perfect match, but I blame Bamco for picking such a funky color to begin with. And you'll have to forgive my fumbling during the tutorial; I had completely forgotten about that part, so I had to do some on-the-spot deciphering. I think that's everything I wanted to mention though.

tl;dr, right? XD
