There are two ways to fight Maxwell: the smart easy way and anything else. He'll curbstomp you with high tier spells of all flavors and the Maxwell extensions if you give him time to cast, and with the Tractor Beam roaming the field and him teleporting it can be difficult to keep up with his movements.

But the smart thing to do is go get Sekundes first so you have Distortion. Maxwell's very low HP (35,000?) is due to his high physical attack resistance, but Distortion says screw that and snatches him up in whatever he's doing for a solid 5k in damage. Maxwell has no i-frames to dodge it, so he's doomed to being erased from time. And with Reid and Max actually doing good damage with melee attacks, it ends even quicker.

Still, on the scale of Maxwells he's a challenge.
