This was a pain. Why does Slyph always have to be a pain? I had to do some serious grinding for this one; I feel I'm a little overleveled, but considering i was at red health by the end of the fight, maybe my precautions were necessary.

Slyph is so difficult because of a few things. For one, he starts the fight with two other enemies, called Arms. They aren't too threatening, but they prevent you from getting at Slyph, and can rack up damage by comboing you into Slyph's moves, or vice versa. Dealing with them first is a must as it's almost impossible to focus on Slyph with them interrupting you all the time. Unfortunately dealing with them is difficult because of Slyph.

Slyph is a nightmare. Wind Blade starts up almost instantly, is unblockable, and as far as i know, undodgeable. A well timed Mirage may be able to avoid it, but that takes insane reactions. He recovers really fast after it to, so you might not even be able to get a punish. Air Cutter isn't as bad, but the 2nd hit is really hard to dodge; it can be dodged with Mirage, but strict timing is necessary. Cyclone will instant kill Farah, but it's easy to dodge so long as the Arms don't get in the way. After his health gets low enough, he'll start using an attack Wind Arrows; he didn't get a chance to use it in this fight, but that move covers the entire area in front of Slyph, and it almost instant. Just a pain to deal with.

Beating Slyph took a lot of trial and error. I start the match by dealing with the Arms. I had to use brute force; trying to meticulously whittle them down without getting hit is near impossible, so I just went for trying to deal as much damage as possible within a short amount of time. When they were gone, I had to deal with Slyph. Now, when Slyph gets knocked down, sometimes he'll teleport away from you. That's an issue, cuz having him in your sights is really important. You have to keep the pressure on him so he doesn't get a chance to move, cuz one Wind Blade will ruin your day. Thus, Death Blossom into Palm Strike, so he doesnt get knocked down, and I can keep the pressure. Even then, it's really easy for a few holes to appear in your onslaught.

Thank god that's settled. What a nightmare. The fight may look easy, but this took a few days to prepare for and practice.
