In the last part of Episode 3, Guybrush finds a way to learn some basic patterns of the Manatee language, as well as procure the Tongue of the Manatee to be able to communicate with the gigantic sea creatures - and even arrange an actual date between a yearning male and the lonely, but deadly female. Finally laying his hands on the Great Sponge (which turns out to be just a wee bit smaller than expected), he then enters into one last confrontation with De Cava and his crewmates, a battle in which everything depends on your alliances, and an alliance with a giant manatee is a particularly good thing to come in handy. Unfortunately, the line between friend and foe is so blurry by this time that Guybrush cannot really be prepared for one last bout of treachery...
