In this chapter, Elen concludes a few more minor assignments in Vivec (one of which earns her the possession of The Ring Of Khajiit itself!) and gets officially accepted into the Morag Tong after she performs her first "honorable execution" of a condemned criminal. After escorting a Hlaalu trader to Pelagiad, she decides to turn East in order to check out the town of Suran and its famous House of Earthly Delights, but not before she almost gets duped by a bounty hunter posing as an escaped slave; she then runs into even more slave-related trouble at Suran, slowly getting to understand just how convoluted the entire industry has gotten. Having concluded her business with Helviane Desele at the House, she leaves Suran in the northern direction, so as to visit Sulipund and Punabi at the request of the Mages' Guild in Balmora.
