In this chapter, Elen returns to Balmora to report back on her accomplishments to all of her employers - the Mages' Guild, the Fighters' Guild, the Thieves' Guild, and House Hlaalu; as she begins to be entrusted with slightly more complicated missions, she finds that these sometimes put her in a difficult position, such as when she has to choose between the interests of the Fighters' Guild and the Thieves' Guild. Nevertheless, her main contact in Balmora remains Caius Cosades, who now sends her out to gather more information from three of his contacts in Vivec - an Argonian harrassed by local racists, a Khajiit driven into hiding by a demanding tax collector, and a librarian at the Temple of Wisdom.
