♦ Episode description: see below↓
In this chapter, Elen returns to Caius Cosades with her next set of notes and finally learns the real reason why the Emperor had set her up with the Blades - apparently, she is suspected of being the "Nerevarine" referred to in the old prophecy, and needs to pass a set of tests meant to prove her destiny. With that revelation, Caius sends our protagonist off to the North to seek out a remote Ashlander camp practicing the Nerevarine cult - the obvious place to start the "testing program" - but first, she decides to take an important detour to the town of Gnisis on the northwestern coast, where she is able to complete her Seven Pilgrimages for the Tribunal Temple and, importantly, find the only place in Vvardenfell where she can enlist in the Imperial Legion. Ironically, her first task as a newborn Legionnaire has nothing to do with battles or sieges; instead, it is all about setting things right in the nearby egg mine, where an unjustly murdered worker and a severely blighted Kwama Queen have completely disrupted production...
