Tamago de Puzzle is a puzzle game based on another Sony game Hermie Hopperhead, since the main character and the rest of the game theme and characters are taken from that game.

Tossing random properties into puzzle games was a popular thing to do back in the 16/32-bit era (see: Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Tokimeki Memorial and Twinbee Taisen Puzzle Dama, Sakura Taisen Columns, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, the list goes on) so Sony was quick to give Hermie his own falling block title.

Entitled "Tamago de Puzzle" ("Puzzle Egg"), it's like competitive-type games, where you drop combinations of eggs, two at a time, and cause blocks to appear on your opponent's screen. It uses various characters from the Hermie game, including a robotic doppelganger of Hermie. There's also a full story mode with even more animated cutscenes.

Game Modes:
- Story mode: Your friend has been kidnapped by this strange aliens creatures and they took them to their world, so you have to go after them to rescue her. To do that the player will advance through the game defeating different opponents that can be used in the next stage since the defeated opponent can be used as player characters.
- Vs Mode: Play against another human player or the computer.
- 1 Player mode: In this mode the player have to make eggs combinations to fill a bar that is on the right side of the screen to win.
