I couldn’t help but try this after seeing Kvothes Cydonia UV-Speed D2All TAS.

The first glide is instant but it doesn’t look like it and looks a bit more jarring than usual because no momentum can be carried into it. A wallrun is occurring on the frame immediately prior to moving into the gap and is happening on a west wall, meaning accumulating momentum in multiple directions is generally possible, but the Y momentum of the wallrun exceeds 14.5 units/tic, and above this threshold the game wont let you accumulate momentum on the X axis at the same time. Slowing down enough that I accumulate west momentum and carry it into the instant glide means gliding a little later, which ends up being slower.
