Tatsunoko vs. Capcom -- 26 February 2010, Free Battles #02
So, for lack of the ability to cram three matches in a single video like last time (you can thank Gold Lightan for dedicating his poor battered body towards that feat), I'll share with you the secret to my incredible team-building technique. Be amazed, be afraid...laugh if you like.
I must say...the character select screen has one catchy tune to it, and it really does set the tone by getting me just slightly amped up and ready to do battle.

Match #1 -- Orbital Ring Systems Cargo Bay:
Alex and Chun-Li (SYPHRON)
vs.
Frank West and Yatterman-2 (MS.MUTOU)
Alex is the representative in this game from Street Fighter III...and, well, I used up just about all I know about the series describing Ryu in the previous video. All I know about Alex is that he's an American (wrestler, I guess?) who was beaten by Ryu and very desperately seeks a rematch. His Engrish is very noticeable, because unlike Frank West, he didn't have an English voice actor.
Chun-Li is the other Street Fighter character in this game, she represents Street Fighter II. I believe she's an agent of Interpol seeking out the criminal organization Shadolaw (sometimes Shadaloo...which I find to be too silly to type or speak aloud) in connection to her missing father...the rest of the details seem to change in each different version of her story I hear.
Yatterman, contrary to what one might think reading the name, does not refer to one person. It's actually a crime-fighting duo of mechanic Gan, Yatterman-1, and Gan's girlfriend, Ai, Yatterman-2. They foil the regular schemes of the comedy troupe...erm...I mean villains of the Dorombo Gang.
Anyway, I'm usually finding myself to be more than slightly aimless when I'm playing as Yatterman-2...and in retrospect, I have no idea what was up with all the jumping I did this time around.

Match #2 -- Burning Wasteland:
Frank West and Ryu (SYPHON)
vs.
Tekkaman Blade and Yatterman-2 (MS.MUTOU)
Is it just me, or have I been playing on the right, Player 2 side of the field a bit much as of late? Not that it really matters, it's just an odd coincidence across as many players as I'd found that night.
Anyway, this match is actually between four characters I've already talked about, so that makes my job easier...and it's interesting that the randomizer drew Ai for me yet again in my second slot.
Tekkaman Blade is pretty quick and has a lot of crazy attacks at his disposal, but he suffers from the same low defense as Zero does. In fact, even though there are more characters who fall into this class of lower armor, I believe only the Karas has even lower durability than these guys do.
