Tatsunoko vs. Capcom -- 26 February 2010, vs. Octogeddon #01
Much later on, sometime in the evening, I had some friends matches against the mysterious SHROUD, known to some as YouTube user Octogeddon.
I've been tooling around on this game since just a tad after its initial release in late January...and he'd had it for a grand total of three days...hopefully I would at least manage to look respectable for it, even though I didn't really have any time to play between the matches you saw from earlier in the day and Monday.
Anyway, I figure that a speedy turnaround would be most enjoyable for my special guest, and I'm using these as test data for my new capture drivers and settings.
The blue line on the side is part of a complex plan to control the minds of YouTube viewers...pay it no mind. Wait...no...I mean stare at it intently, that way it can hypnotize you.

Match #1 -- Aensland Castle
Roll and Yatterman-2 (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Viewtiful Joe and Joe the Condor (SHROUD)
Roll is a housekeeping robot invented by Dr. Light and the female counterpart to Rock, who would become better known to us in the West as Megaman.
Joe is a film fanatic who one day enters into the world of his favorite old movie he was watching with his girlfriend Silvia is somehow kidnapped and sucked inside. He then becomes a superhero in the styling of his old favorite from the film and takes on the persona of Viewtiful Joe.
Joe the Condor is Science Ninja Team Gatchaman's hot-headed second-in-command and weapons expert. His favorite part of a mission is the opportunity to fire the powerful Bird Missiles...if only Ken wouldn't always insist they get permission first.
Well, Random still has a crush on Ai, and all throughout this series of matches it would NOT stop picking Roll. Seriously, there were three matches in a row where it rolled a Roll for the first character on my team.
Oh, and it seems I'm up against the two Joes. They're both fans of things that go boom, too...although the Bird Missiles are quite a bit deadlier than the Shocking Pinks that Viewtiful Joe tosses out onto the field. Both have the interesting ability to damage their owners, so those Joes have got to be careful.

Match #2 -- Williamette Parkview Mall
Casshern and Alex (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Polimar and Zero (SHROUD)
Neo-Human Casshern is a neoroider, a human who purposefully had his "data" transferred into an invincible android body. Along with his robotic dog Friender, he seeks the total destruction of the evil robots of the Andro Army that are bent on the destruction of mankind.
A note on the name: it is clearly pronounced as "Casshern," but the original American publisher transliterated it differently from how the name is treated everywhere else...I hear tell that for this reason alone his name is spelled "Casshan" in the game, but they did not change any audio pronouncing it properly. I will therefore henceforth refer to him as "Casshern" as a result.
Alex is a really rough customer, so if he can get his hands on you, you're probably in trouble. Casshern has power to spare as a bare-handed, jet-propelled android and can call on Friender to aid him in three different attack patterns.

Match #3 -- Uncharted Region of China
Zero and Yatterman-1 (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Chun-Li and Casshern (SHROUD)
Yatterman-1 is Gan (or Gan-chan to his sweetheart Ai, who is likewise Ai-chan to him, awwww) is the leader of the superhero crime fighting duo Yatterman.
Whereas Ai's weapon of choice is an electrified baton, Gan fights with a kendama, using a lightning-fast technique he calls "Kenda-Magic" which makes for an instantaneous projectile of three different ranges. All of his special attacks use the Yatter-Wan, the ultimate invention of Gan's father, tuned up and modified and ready to fight evil.
