Team Sonic Racing Playthrough 1: Race as a Team
1Here is SEGA's version of Mario Kart, but without random SEGA characters, it is Team Sonic Racing, only Sonic characters are present in this game. This game has your characters racing as a team, and in the Adventure Mode, which this playthrough will focus on, your characters will be in set teams. This game does have some tracks from Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and its sequel, so there are a lot of different tracks from many different Sonic games.

In the Story Mode, Sonic and his friends meet a Tanuki named Dodon Pa, who invites Sonic and friends in competing in team racing and some challenges. Sonic's friends believe that Dodon Pa is secretly working for Dr. Eggman, but Team Sonic and Team Rose take part in car racing.
You start off with Team Sonic, which has Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Knuckles the Echidna, and you compete against Team Rose, which has Amy Rose, a group of Chao that consists of Hero Chao, Dark Chao, Neutral Chao, and Omochao, and Big the Cat. This game carries over elements from Sonic Heroes, like the team play, Sonic being the Speed Type character, which gives him the fastest top speed and can pull off a Radial Burst that destroys incoming Wisp attacks and repels nearby river racers, Sonic isn't the only Speed Type racer, as Amy from Team Rose is also a Speed Type racer. The Technique Type has better handling, high acceleration and can draw in Rings, and both Tails and Chao are Technique Type racers.
Then we have the Power Type racers, being Knuckles and Big, the Power Type has good defense and boost, but have lower speed, and they are able to smash through obstacles.
Now onto the story, the first level takes place on Planet Wisp from Sonic Colours, and it is a Team Race on Wisp Circuit, this is a very easy stage. I won't be doing a 100% Playthrough, as you do earn stars for clearing the requirements, but some of the achievements are very hard to obtain.
Stage 1-2 is on Whale Lagoon, which is in Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes, and it was a track from Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, and one of the conditions is to perform an Ultimate attack at least once, which is where once your Ultimate Meter is filled up fully, you can do it by transferring items to teammates or using the sling shot, and the Ultimate Attacks gives you a good advantage in a race, so it is useful if you have teammates that are way behind.
Stage 1-3 is a Grand Prix, first track is Ocean View, which was in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, and is part of Seaside Hill, Mother's Canyon is part of Planet Wisp, and the last two tracks are Wisp Circuit and Lost Palace. You get a key if you collect 100 rings across a GP.
