Holy crap! SO MUCH happened in this video! In terms of pure progression, we moved the story forward a bit ON TOP OF doing 4 whole side quests along the way, which is why this is so far the longest Automata video I've uploaded, and it was a nightmare to edit (had to kill Movie Maker a few times along the way, but luckily it restored the project each time).

Apologies for the length. This is why I normally do one side quest per video, but it all kind of just... meshed together, and I didn't even finish 9S' segment yet! But, at least I was able to cut out an hour and 10 minutes from the whole thing.

Now in terms of what happened emotionally, well.. it was heavy. No surprise there. The first was the emotional high of not only seeing the Twins safe and sound, but 9S getting to see both their beautiful faces smiling at him as he woke up.

But then, there was the low of hearing 9S coming to realize that 2B was gone. Her death was the last thing he saw before losing consciousness, so he might've thought/hoped it was a dream. His realization of her death was so hard to listen to. Hearing the way his character is changing too, while interesting, is also sad. That message that 2B left for him on her flight unit was also an unexpected punch into the gut of my feels. All of it just helping to send 9S into an even deeper downward spiral of despair.

But even then, he's still pushing on. He's still helping others. He showed concern for the Twins having been given that dangerous job. Maybe not as concerned as me, but I mean... you saw how packed that factory was! Them being forced to go there is bulls***!

Speaking of which, yeah I obviously added that Song of the Ancients OST in post-editing myself. Unlike with A2, there was hardly ANY music playing when I was running around as 9S. There wasn't even anything playing at the Amusement Park, which to me was the saddest and most unsettling area (especially in the basement area where the game kinda broke). I also added in the music that played while I fought those two desert "Mad Max" Goliath Tanks. Holy s*** those machines were deranged af. They were basically just a bunch of mindless bloodthirsty savages wanting to kill androids just for the enjoyment of it.

Also, despite my level, they took my hits REALLY well. I mean, I was wailing on them, and that was AFTER laying down tons of pod fire to take out their cannons. I could've hacked them (and should've at least once for style), but just hacking to kill things is boring. Gotta mix it up.

Speaking of which, while there wasn't an intense boss fight like with A2 last time (so far), there were still two pretty big battles, where 9S again shows off his hacking power as well as his fully-capable melee.

Also can someone count how many times I stopped Emil in this video? I think it was 4 or 5. I know I didn't stop him EVERY time I saw him. A lot of those he made way too easy lol.

The Tower is also strange. Not just the demeanor of the announcer voice, but it also looks made of the same stuff that the Copied City is made of, and it looks like it may have sprouted up from it. We know the Copied City is right underneath where the Tower is, and that the Copied City is both very wide and very high.

One thing that scares me is that I don't think the Twins had a quest marker at all. They only asked me to help them after I visited their shop. I should check up on them now and then. Don't want them doing any "odd jobs" on their own and getting killed...

Going to Kaine's house under the shopping mall was the hardest thing I've done so far. 2B's actual death was the saddest, but this was the hardest. This quest had been about mourning the dead, and the marker leading to her house was part of it. When I realized where it was taking me, I knew what 9S was gonna do. I could already feel myself about to cry as I approached it. Watching 9S put down that memorial and hearing his heartfelt words to her... really solidified her death and made me feel for 9S. I can't imagine how painful this must be for him. He and 2B cared about each other very VERY much.

What's worse is they used THAT place for 9S to mourn 2B's death. All the way back when we had that heartfelt moment at the end of Emil's Memories, they KNEW that place was gonna be used later to honor 2B's memory. They programmed 2B setting foot in there with 9S, knowing full-well that the next time it would be used would be for her death...

Finally, the end was me trying out "end music". That's the OST that plays during the Factory boss as 2B during the "Become as Gods!" part. Remember how I said it was a remix of Wretched Automatons? Well, I was wrong. It's called "Possessed by Disease", but you can definitely hear parts that sound like they were taken from Wretched Automatons, and it plays for a Factory boss! Anyway, I thought it'd be fun to try ending the video with that. Maybe I'll try it again in another vid with a different song.

For now, there's still much to do as Nines!
