Tekken 8 goes BIG at Gamescom
7During the opening night of Gamescom, Tekken 8 dropped some large news bombs. This ranged from an official release date (January 26th), meaning the game is only five months away from release. In a previous video I covered why this game is going to be a day one purchase for me, link for that will be lower in the description. However, the release date wasn't the only news dropped at Gamescom. We also found out the exact roster size. In a previous Tweet, Harda-san had stated the roster was going to be larger than Street Fighter 6. Well, no kidding. That game launched with a paltry 18 characters, which is quite frankly unacceptable in this day and age. Tekken 8 is going to launch with a really awesome number of 32 characters. That's a respectable size for a modern fighting game. We also learned about a brand new mode called Arcade Quest which is similar to a mode found in Virtua Fighter 4.
