History - 2029. The Skynet supercomputer goes out of control and provokes a nuclear war that ends in a confrontation between machines and people. The rebels send the cyborg T-800 Terminator back in 1995. He must find and protect the future leader of the resistance, John Connor, from the more advanced T-1000 robot sent by Skynet.
The levels in the game are made using two-dimensional graphics and isometric projection (pseudo-three-dimensionality). As in other versions, in each of the four levels you need to complete a specific task (for example, get a weapon, save Sarah Connor, destroy the T-1000). These tasks are based on one or another scene of the film - a psychiatric hospital, a metal recycling plant, etc. There is one difference between the NES versions and the Sega Master System is that the Sega version of the master systems and the game gear lacks the second level with the chase T-1000 and T-800 who gets to John first.
