Terra Flame is a fun and easy to get into hori shmup that is inspired by 16-bit classics such as Thunderforce III and IV. I really appreciated the classic solid gameplay with modern touches, such as an automatically appearing roll unit (the games' "Claw" equivalent) after a death so you can have a better chance at recovering.
While the "normal" difficulty is on the easy side (beat it "blind" my first time trying), the Expert setting is no cakewalk and will be a challenge for most players. The suicide bullets found in Expert difficulty add a layer of depth that take the already great risk/reward system and make it even better.
As with past Terarin games, the soundtrack is great and includes both modern synth instrumentation as well as a chiptunes option. For this run, I used the modern/synth OST.
As of posting this run, this was also the highest score on the Expert difficulty online scoreboards. I don't expect to be in 1st place for long but it's to see my name on the top of the mountain, if only briefly: https://imgur.com/a/tC8VmcV
I definitely recommend checking out Terra Flame if you're a fan of the genre - 2 thumbs up!
