Terraria 1.2.4: Off The Rails (Booster Glitch)
9After having seen this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBuA_nCOfOY with an explanation here: http://fartoomucholive.tumblr.com/post/85385634576/ (both of which I highly recommend looking at, since they're more interesting than this simple thing), I wanted to see what would happen if I used a Featherfall Potion and shot myself off the tracks in a similar manner. Surprisingly enough, I managed to reach the other end of the map! Granted, it's a Medium world, but I imagine with the correct set-up, you could do the same on a Large world.
It's also amusing that going fast enough let me phase through an island. And I found out that if I were to de-cart midway through the island, I'd get stuck and have to dig my way out: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=258921396
(I wouldn't be surprised if this got patched out in 1.2.4.1 or whatever they call the next version, so get your shenanigans in whilst you still can!)
