This game has class. It's Mount & Blade before that even existed. Directional attacks, fancy voice talk and a full 3 environment, it's the most modern experience of 2002.
And it holds a place in my heart.

That being said, I INTENDED to play Alpha Protocol, which somehow...
Let's put it like this, I THOUGHT my specs matched up, but apparently it doesn't. Either I'll wait for my OP laptop upgrade or I'm playing it on the desktop. Whichever's more convenient.

My char? A female Argonian who does pew pew bows and slashy swords. With some restoring magic to help increase survivability. Not to say I can't try enchanting, but we'll see how it goes. I love the mages guild. My fav questline when I couldn't read English. :P

So, Morrowind. Along with Vice City, a big part of my PC youth. I barely understood anything, so using cheats I mindlessly explored the lands and marvelled at the virtual environments and splendour. I remember fragments of this game, enough that this 'second playthrough' might finalise my opinion on this lovely classic.

Bethesda came far. I personally think Oblivion streamlined a lot of Morrowinds gameplay issues, being that you can't used magic easily, mana doesn't regenerate and poison potions being useless.
While I dislike Oblivion as well (all the talking, the lack of fantasy environment), I still think Oblivious too deserves to stand amongst Morrowind in my top-list. Skyrim. I say fuck Skyrim. In my mind, it's a good GAME, but a very poor TES game. The lack of scientific advancement, the giant, unneccessary leaps in time and bullshit. And then, the cheap 'dragon shouts' to make memes. They knew what they did.

Anyway, Morrowind if mysterious. There's a great plague (the Blight) that makes zombies, a giant, magic shielded off area and lots of political shenanigans going about. With slavery and evil rampent, we, the... no, I won't spoil that. Let's just assume the world needs saving and we're a cog in the works. Unlike Oblivion and Skyrim, we're the only dude really involved with saving the world. Because fuck random friends. Epicness comes from one dude being very good, or everyone involved being cool. Not random dicks getting in the way of your sparkly magic.
Although Oblivion did a much better job than Skyrim. Like I said, Skyrim = bad TES, but good game in general.
