Played on Infernal BBQ without any of the custom modifiers. Too many restrictions to list in the title. No potions, no sigils, no consumables, no core expansions, no soul bursts, no crafting, no optional items.
Very interesting fight. Felt like a mix of many games and genres. The clone phases felt like some Hollow Knight fights where you track multiple targets, like the Sisters of Battle or the Watcher Knights. However, as you can't instantly cancel attacks, or just have no startup or endlag at all like Hollow Knight, having to carefully input attacks rather than risk getting input buffer'ed into not being able to dodge felt a little like a Soulslike. Finally, the obvious bullet hell platformer aspects of the fight, typical of games like Rabi Ribi/TEVI, or even some IWBTG fangames with bullet hell aspects.
Might go for hitless some time later, since 3 hits isn't tremendously far from 0 hits for a boss like this. But it would take some more hours, and I want to get to the next boss. Particularly I'm kind of clueless on a good way to dodge the spiraling rings, I would need to figure that out.
The plan for this run overall is to start with all of these restrictions, and if a boss is simply too time consuming and I just want to make progress, I will consider lifting some restrictions. Probably one of the reversible restrictions first -- for instance, if I decided to use potions for a boss, I wouldn't be able to 'uncollect' them. I hope the other earlygame bosses like Caprice or Barados or Lily aren't as hard as Katu.
