Team Fortress's official competitive matchmaking was recently update to include placement matches and a "proper" Glicko/Elo rating system. Here's what I learned about TF2's latest matchmaking update during my placement matches.

Placement matches and Glicko/Elo are a huge step in the right direction - TF2's competitive at least now has an actual ranking system rather than a weird ladder hybrid, however we still have a long way to go before we have balanced comp games and a matchmaking comparable to the systems found in games like Overwatch and Counter-Strike
