The Architecture and Science of the African Homes of the Musgum People
An African architectural technology video made in collaboration with Jabari of the From Nothing Youtube channel. Learn about the science and technology of the traditional architecture of the Musgum AKA Mousgoum AKA Mulwi culture from the country of Cameroon.
African architecture comes in numerous beautiful forms across the African continent. The architectural traditions vary greatly across the various regions not only in style but materials as well. For example: the stone pyramids of Egypt in North Africa, the Swahili coral architecture of East Africa, the wooden architecture of Central Africa, and the Sudano Sahelian style of West Africa which uses mud brick.
Mud is the building material of choice for the Musgum and you won't believe the impressive effects it has in the African climate. Learn about that and more science facts in the video.
