The Art of Battle, Mission 17 of the 789th MICT - Rimworld Gameplay episode 17
Today me and the crew return to Rimworld, a game where most people take a random amount of procedurally generated colonists and try to build a colony on a procedurally generated planet, all the while an AI storyteller uses procedurally generated events to systematically kill off each and every one of your colonists. I say most people, because I'm actually roleplaying my colonists to be a heavily armed squad of space marines who have been sent to this planet to fight the local pirate faction. In this episode, work continues on various projects at my newer base. At least it does until I discover that I don't actually have enough resources to finish construction. I do also finish several parts to a monument that an AI persona wants me to build in exchange for advanced technology blueprints. I also discover that I have a slight food shortage at one location, and an slight power shortage at the other. Finally, bored with the peacefulness of my settlements the storyteller decides to attack my settlements with several raids, starting with a few guys launching sticks at my people, to an entire fortification of angry machines launching light and fire from just inside what will eventually be my defensive perimeter. I should probably actually built the defensive perimeter sooner rather than later. Enjoy.
