Pens vs swords, Mission 18 of the 789th MICT - Rimworld Gameplay episode 18
Today me and the crew return to Rimworld, a game where most people are given a bunch of randomly generated colonists on a randomly generated planet, and then try to get their colonists to survive for as long as possible while the AI storyteller tries to kill each and every one of them off through a variety of different events. I say most people because for this series I have been roleplaying my colonists to be a bunch of space marines who have been sent to this planet to fight the local pirates. In this episode, with a new update having been released in between this episode and the last one, I have to adapt my base to the new mechanics. Most notably the fact that most of my animal herds now need to be kept within a penned in area lest they try to wander off. I try to make this a priority for my base because nothing says badass military unit better than a herd of seventy sheep, and nothing, not multiple attacks from machines built to destroy all organic life, to a heatwave that kills the ignored, to having my builders working on several important projects at the same time, to people having mental breakdowns because there aren't enough fun things to do, and the place is a mess because the one person who bothers to clean anything is at a different base because her new husband thinks mentally breaking down is some kind of new sporting event, will stop me from completing my new objectives. Enjoy.
