I don't usually make Free Play Friday videos like this, but The Ascent is a game I've been looking forward to for awhile. And I dipped my toes in the water just to try and get past some of the "slow" early portion of the game that I had been warned about. And now, at least at the outset of this video, I have to ask myself "is this something that's really worth keeping?" That's not the question I expected to ask myself, given that a Diablo style twin stick shooter loot hunt definitely seemed like something that would be right up my alley. I mean, the game is beautiful, but if you've known me for any length of time you know that graphic fidelity is one of the last things I look for in a game. I do dive far enough in this one to reach a conclusion though. I'd love to hear you all's thoughts on the game as well.

And while I'm here, if anyone is still reading the description, I am aware that a "Digital Shotgun" is doing digitial damage to enemies and that is not very efficient vs the flesh bags I was fighting. But it's just so fun to say "digital shotgun." I couldn't help it.
