Watcher Chronicles is another game going for the 2D Souls-like concept, but using an art style that's reminiscent of mid-2000's Newgrounds flash animations. It does a pretty good job of streamlining and simplifying the familiar formula while keeping enough depth and variety to be enjoyable. It does unfortunately have some problems with super spammy bosses that punish dodging and require some luck due to weird hitboxes. Not a bad effort, I'd like to see a sequel with more content, less fights on instant death platforms and better bosses.
