The Bridge -- A dramatic parable on God's sacrifice of His son. A father is working on the controls of a railroad track to allow an approaching passenger train to cross safely over the bridge. He sees his young son coming toward him on the tracks. It is at this moment the father must decide whom to save — the train passengers or his son. This powerful film opens up in a unique way the meaning of God's sending His Son. An unusually effective discussion starter. 11 minutes The Pump -- A man journeying through the desert has car trouble and decides to walk until he comes upon a ghost town. There he finds a pump with a note advising him not to drink the water in the bottle but rather to prime the pump, and he'll get plenty of water. What should he do? Gulp down the water in the bottle or trust the directions on the note? We learn of the decision he made when we later see the man face down in the sand, the discarded bottle nearby. This parabolic film has many Christian parallels, making it suitable for personal reflection or group discussion. 9 minutes The Mouths of Babes -- This program consists of a series of questions to which very young children respond. Topics for the questions range from the nature of God to how to live. The children's responses are natural and sincere, often evoking laughter and delight from the audience. But this film should be seen as more than just entertainment. It should be used to help equip parents and teachers to listen and to teach by dealing with the issues underlying the children's answers. 15 minutes
