The continuation of the Tetris Sprint learning saga
1This video consists of me sequentially (but not repeatedly) beating my Tetris Sprint record on Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. The goal of the game mode is to clear 40 lines as fast as possible. My previous record at this mode was somewhere in the 2 minutes, 15 seconds area. I barely beat the last video's description a couple nights ago. On this particular afternoon, I set out to beat the NEW record. And did so with style!
The 4th run in this video has a lot of me schizoposting back at my friend, whose voice did not record. It's a lot to type out off of memory, but I'll do my best to make the gist clear:
-We talked about how people who play Runescape and other MMOs tend to get sucked into the genre of game and mainline it. I mentioned that I wouldn't be able to do so due to how repetitive I find the game genre to be, and my friend came back with the idea that, at least in WoW's case at the time that he was playing, there is a big industry for new content in those games. Frequent content-rich updates is how they make money and maintain interest.
-My friend mentioned that he, at one point. would play an obscene amount of World of Warcraft, to the point that it consumed his social life during his schooling days
-He recounted a tale from those times where, during a class that involved computers, he was given the opportunity to "fix" one of the desktops that his school owned. Basically he was the computer kid and knew a lot so they asked him to fix it. He obliged, but really didn't bother to fix the computer as it had no real issues. HE DID, however, install WoW on it and use his designated Good Boy Computer Fixer time to play it at school. ("actual goblin behavior")
-Also, he told about how, during one of his classes, he was given a schedule of the work beforehand, and able to complete the entirety of the year-long schedule in about 3 months. He was able to do WoW in class for the majority of the semester.
