Hey everyone and welcome to Ikai. Today we'll be exploring Japanese mythology, which for a long time has been a very popular theme in horror. But do not be mistaken. This is no mimic or shade of a story already represented in pop culture. Immediately, you are put in a setting where you must excercise the demons that reside in a house that was once a home. This is obviously no easy feat, as every room you enter, and every step you make invites the spirits to give you more than a friendly handshake.

This title definitely puts emphasis on atmosphere. While exploring the house, there would be constant sounds as if the house was alive. The developers also do a great job in going into detail with the Japanese mythology which is represented in both text and certain objects that can be observed around your surroundings. It goes without saying that the developers have put their primary focus on immersion which some may think can interfere with the horror aspect. I for one believe that the immersion and story balance each other well, and present a very eerie experience. When it comes to this demo, one minor critique I have is the "jumpscare" which prepares the player, rather than shocking with no warning whatsoever. I believe the developers meant to get that reaction, but it did not land. Overall, this was an effective experience, that can only grow
better with a little more time. Lucky for future players, the full game will not be released until 2021. This would allow the developers to fine tuen their already great work presented here.
