The Dark Queen of Krynn (MS-DOS) Intro und Gameplay
9Dritter und letzter Teil der Krynn Serie, 1992 von Micromagic und SSI entwickelt und von SSI vertrieben. In The Dark Queen of Krynn werden zum ersten Mal in der Krynn Reihe VGA Grafik und digitalisierte Soundeffekte verwendet, außerdem wurde das Interface von Pools of Darkness verwendet, die wichtigste Neuerung ist aber meiner bescheidenen Meinung nach das Weglassen der Kopierschutzüberprüfung beim Speichern ;) (in der Vorgängertiteln musste man nach jeweils 10 mal Speichern nochmals eine Kopieschutzabfrage leisten, dieses mal allerdings aus dem Rule Book und nicht wie beim Spielstart aus dem Adventure Journal). Außerdem gibt es nun einzigartige Figuren für alle Rassen und Klassen, das Selbstzusammenbasteln der einzelnen Figuren fällt damit weg (ist auch gut so, die selbstgebastelten Figuren der Vorgängertitel stammen noch unverändert aus dem ersten Teil der Gold Box Reihe von 1988, Pool of Radiance). Im Video kann man ganz gut sehen, wie weit die Heldentruppe ohne einem Magier, der fleissig Delayed Blast Fireball zaubert kommt, nämlich keine zwei Kämpfe weit :).

In The Dark Queen of Krynn for the first time in the Krynn series the game used VGA graphics and digitized sound effects, also the interface of Pools of Darkness was used, the main novelty is but in my humble opinion, the omission of copy protection validation when saving;) (in the previous titles you had to save again 10 times each query afford a copy protection, but this time from the rule book and do not like at the start of the game from the Adventure Journal). There is now a unique figures for all races and classes, the self-assembly crafts of the individual figures thus falls away (is a good thing, the self-made figures of the previous titles are still unchanged from the first part of the Gold Box series of 1988 Pool of Radiance). In the video you can see quite well how far the heroes get without a magician who is spamming Delayed Blast Fireball all the time, namely not two battles far :).
