The Demolished Man is old sci-fi, golden-age sci-fi, lil-bit-sexist-sci-fi--okay, might be more than a little! We'll get to it, okay? But first, we've plenty of positives to touch on: for example, Bester's Hugo award-winning novel is one of the early examples that take your hard-boiled crime novel and give it a time-travelling kick, all the way to the twenty-fourth century!
