Hey guys, Altered State here. Welcome back to another episode of The Evil Within 2. In this episode we head to the hotel where we went in chapter 7 to destroy one of Stefano's pieces of artwork, and meet up with Hoffman. She explains she has a device that will help us get through the wall of flame preventing us from getting into Father Theodore's stronghold. Hoffman hooks us up with some supplies which indicates we will have some enemies to deal with coming up, and indeed we do. Hoffman carries her staff emitter thing, and we fend off flame zombies to protect her. We make it to the end, but suddenly things go wrong and we are overwhelmed by enemies. We make it out unscathed, but Hoffman isn't so lucky. She sacrificed herself so that we may prevail and save our daughter. All our friends are dying, so things are beginning to seem hopeless for us. We begin to explore Theodore's stronghold in Chapter 14, as he taunts us from above. We head into a large room with several flame guys wandering around, and begin to take them out. Sometimes stealthily, sometimes not so much. We chip away at them for awhile then decide to take a break, once we have established multiple pathways to proceed down. We will continue making progress next time.
