Hey guys, Altered State here. Welcome back to another episode of The Evil Within 2. In this episode we continue doing the side mission the Last Step, and work our way towards Syke's safe house. We head towards the shortcut we opened in chapter 7, and there is a new enemy type blocking the way. A bloated, pulsing, pustule of a creature, that seems intimidating, but dies with a single sneak kill. We see there is another flamethrower harbinger, but decide it is best to avoid him for now with our depleted ammo. Beyond the fat enemy, there are three flame zombies roaming around outside Syke's Safe House. We spend a few minutes planning our attack, then it doesn't go how we expected it at all. We run away form them as they chase us, but take them out as they return to their patrols. We then pick up the sniper rifle pouch they were guarding, and head in to greet Sykes. He informs us that he found a way out of STEM, and offers to show us how to use the escape pod, in exchange for taking out the zombies down in the Marrow. There are several zombies down here, but we are able to take them all out with either using an axe to the face, or a stealth kill. Once we restore the power, we make our way to the door we unlocked, and soon are treated to a cut scene with Sykes booting up the escape pod, and climbing in. The room fills with smoke, and we are unsure what is happening. When the room clears, Sykes is gone, and the Sykes Out Achievement pops, giving us hope that we will find a way out of STEM once we finish our business here. We make our way back out of the Marrow and into Sykes safe house. We decide we'll spend a little more time in this new firey hell-hole, looting, and taking out enemies, before we get on with the main mission.
