Description:
Sam Anon is a "lesbian disaster" with low self-esteem, but maybe things will get better if she joins Grace Morningstar and Valentin Vaillante in their quest to defeat the Machine Devil and his bigoted cult. Unfortunately, they are also opposed by the Divine Order, which prioritizes arbitrary rules over actually stopping the cultists. Fortunately, one of the Divine Order angels, Angela, joins after being convinced of the righteousness of their cause.

Be sure to have Smite equipped on Grace, since there's a Devil Clock effect that makes it so enemies can only be killed by Smite. If not, be sure to have some knives in stock.
6:49 Gas Stop
Be sure to accept all requests so you can start getting the Rank IX trinkets. It's normally impossible to get enough Rank IX+ trinkets to deck out everyone, but if you got all the DLC gear, you can equip 2 upgraded DLC trinkets and 1 Rank IX trinket to each character. Though Grace will need the DLC trinket that boosts the rank of weaker trinkets, since she still has to depend on Smite.
Note that everyone is claiming everything is fine as a coping mechanism now that the Machine Devil is about to come back.

All lone shrine events are guarded by cultists, and there seems to be new dialogue as you visit more of them. I don't think I managed to exhaust all their dialogue though.

After turning in the first 6 quests for this act, talk to the questgiver again to get the remaining two.
You have 6 Rank IX vouchers, but there are 8 available in the store. I recommend concentrating on buying the non-elemental ones if you can.

The next series of battles are gonna suck because of the Smite Only effect.
The angels are seriously standing in our way just because we decided to fight the Machine Devil early.

They even released the man who killed Emily Harmless, just to fulfill their dumb prophecy. Fortunately, he dies with one Smite. Unfortunately, he sacrifices himself to revive the Machine Devil.
1:07:04 Boss: Machine Devil (Normal/Devil Clock)
The Machine Devil not only shares the bigotries of its followers, it can speak from the mouths of the party members, sans Angela. It claims to be a meme tied to humanity's desire for chaos. Perhaps it was influenced by the cultists or just latches onto any ideology that gives it an excuse to destroy others.
It can use a move that blows up a consumable item while dealing massive single-target damage, but it won't be able to do it often enough to counter my bloated inventory.
1:15:25 Boss: Sorrow, Bile, & Blood (Normal/Devil Clock)
Each target has a different elemental weakness. Additionally, the Control Rod DC effect makes nuke damage deal neutral damage instead.
1:19:31 Grace's Revival
Grace ends up in a turn-based RPG UI and exchanges some blows with the Machine Devil. She meets Agi, who is surprised the current wielder of the sword is a woman, but he seems to like the idea of anyone becoming a hero. He uses his power to revive Grace and states she'll do the same for the next wielder in 1000 years.
1:22:55 Boss: Jonivanjo (Normal/Devil Clock)
The battle is split into two screens, but is functionally just a tough single boss. You have to completely fill the ravage gauge and then use the sword once more. Smite doesn't matter at this point either.
1:25:10 Ending
The villain is sealed once more, but Angela will soon be punished for disobeying the DO. Also, Sam turns out to be the princess of the country and she feared being a hi-profile person would invite more scrutiny for her transition.
