Description:
Raven is a shabby-looking swordsman participating in a tournament, but performs surprisingly well against his more seriously dressed opponents. However, he has a dark past with the Calamity golems, and he won't be able to run from this past after he discovers that these golems are still active.

There's a challenge that requires you to win with level 2 or lower techs. I didn't seem to find any other challenges.
At the top, we find that Emilia had someone else fight in her place.
22:12 Boss: Black Blade (Nightmare)
He has many of the same techs as Raven, and even stronger versions of them. He's strong, but if you get him to half HP, that will end the fight. If not, you get a slightly more humiliating cutscene.
27:16 Plot Armor
Even if you end the battle without dying, the Black Blade using his wind tech to knock out Raven anyways. When Raven wakes up, he gets a call from Valerie. The brutes are getting more aggressive after a recent earthquake, so we need to get back to Southlight. Before leaving, Raven picks up a pocketwatch that the Blade Blade dropped. He finds it familiar somehow.
32:31 Southlight Village
Raven, Valerie, and Levin team up to drive off the brutes. The Royal Knights are too slow to officially send someone out, so Levin is here by himself.
When you talk to Levin, he talks a bit about his background as an Arcana slum resident. All slum residents were forced to have the letter V in their name. Eventually, the people of the outer ring were abandoned to the brutes.
Valerie plays a harmonica, which somehow reminds Raven of his mother. Valerie gives him the harmonica so he can learn to play it.
There's a quest where you have to toggle skills according to what the NPC wants.
There's another quest where you have to beat a coliseum round without damage. Using shield to block an attack is an immediate loss.
58:24 Boss: Ancient Rider (Nightmare)
This boss can use a draining attack and is telegraphed by it galloping. This allows it to heal an equal percentage to what it deals to Raven. Also, it has unpredictable cooldowns and can basically spam this drain attack. Beating it wasn't fun, but it must be done to get the Wield upgrade.
