The Fighter Problem: At Some Point, Everyone's Dead. Arkham Horror LCG Balance Discussion
Let's talk about some issues that fighters face in this game. Namely, at some point, you run out of enemies to kill. All fighters do is prevent the enemies from killing you, so if you don't branch out from your role, then there's no difference between a Skids' that barely manages the enemies and a Cho that crushes them all. I mean, obviously, Cho is more reliable. But in a given game, if Cho killed every enemy in one action or if Skids barely managed to keep them off the cluevers while killing the VP enemies and survived at 1/1, it doesn't matter. In both games, the fighter succeeded.
As a consequence, you need to find a way to provide value outside of fighting. That doesn't have to be clue finding, but it does have to be something.
