Despite its cult following and critical acclaim the Sci-fi Channel opted to cancel the show before Farscape’s Season 4 had reached its midway point…citing the enormous cost produce each episode and shrinking ratings.

The timing of the cancellation left a number of loose ends and the final episode ended on quite the cliffhanger…

That final episode, called “Bad Timing” as a reference to the cancellation, was met with general approval from the fans and sadness at what had been lost.

A three hour mini series in 2004 tried to wrap everything and twenty years later the show routinely appears on Greatest Sci-Fi Show of all time lists and a lot of the fanbase is still upset about the cancellation
