It's TIME to ask the REAL questions! Was Napoleon Total War, and by extension, the concept of Total War standalone expansions, a mistake? Did CA tread wrong here, by splitting up their games into a main game with DLC, AND a separate but connected game? My main issue is that the standalone Total War games rarely or never actually do anything for their main foundational games, AND often means leaving the original game behind, often without much needed patching and fixing. Napoleon COULD have fixed Empire and made it so much better, but being its own game, none of its fixes and improvements made it into Empire. But is that even possible? Let's talk about it!
