Street Fighter 2 Turbo for the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive. It's not a title you usually associate with Sega's 16 bit games machine. After all, Street Fighter II Turbo was released exclusively on the SNES, in terms of 16 bit consoles. So what is Street Fighter 2 Turbo Beta on the Genesis/Megadrive? Well, it's a ROM which emerged in 1994 and has been roaming about since then. Nobody really seems to know how it fits into the Street Fighter 2 timeline, especially in regard to Streetfighter 2 Special Champion Edition, which was the game actually to come out on Sega's hardware. So, is this "Turbo Beta" just an early version of the Special Champion Edition, or an altogether different title, developed by a completely different team.
