The Gunk! Let's play episode 1 (xbox One X)
0The Gunk. The story begins in a spaceship heading towards an interesting purple planet. Rani and Becks have a conversation about heading to the planet. It had an energy spike signal from the planet, geared up Rani wants to investigate. Becks is worried about fuel consumption begrudgingly compiles in the hope of finding something valuable. As you descend to the planet and prepare you, power glove acts up. Apparently, due to low resources, Rani used super glue instead of soldering. Out of a lot of basic comfort and utility items, it's clear to see they have been struggling for a bit. The ship hovers safely above while you descend by rope. We get our first good look at Rani. She is equipped with a gas mask, headlight, and an awesome looking orange power glove that is fairly large. Follow the ship on foot and explore. Rani and Becks had to pull out a loan and pay rent explaining why they're scavenging. Around the corner is a glowing crystalline structure, also equipped with a scanner. You scan it revealing it's made of silicone and is not worth anything unless you had a ridiculous amount of it. Moving onward throughout the beautiful tealish, rocky environment. The ship picks up the signal they were originally tracking, but something ahead is interfering. A moving blob of...Gunk! The surrounding area is in a red circle, and the environment in it has changed as well, looking drained and dry. The glove, unexpectedly, can clean up the Gunk. Suck it up into your backpack compartment attached to the glove. Once the gunk is cleared, a bubble effect expands, and the land is restored to life! Satisfying and beautiful transition, very gratifying. A glowing pool of Green goo, which was under the Gunk, now glowing brightly, you get closer to scan. Becks informs Rani that based on the scan, the goo is the signal they originally found. And it has energy producing qualities. This puddle isn't enough, but it's a sign that the planet might have a larger deposit. Becks looks for a place to land
and they discuss dreams. Becks plays it ear by ear and doesn't expect much so as not to be disappointed by things, so she doesn't really have a dream per se. There is a land spot, but you need to clear the gunk so the ship can land. Once cleared, a fairly large area, the land can grow and flourish! Huge tree, alien tree, erupts, and the plants come back. Ship lands and Becks, and a Robot come out. Rani wants to explore together, but Becks needs to repair the ship, named Bunny. A tricky tightrope walk to balance work and play in your relationships. Tasked with cleaning more gunk and finding the signal to are set to explore. A quick look in the ship, cute. Around the ship, new plant life, you try to gather, but you need more upgrades to the power glove. Better hustle!
