5Introduced in the arcades back in '88, Taito's CHASE HQ centers around 2 cops from the Chase Special Investigation Department, Tony Gibson & Raymond assigned to apprehend fleeing criminals in high-speed pursuits in their black Porsche 928. In the coming years, that particular first offering hit numerous consoles & handhelds (one of which you're about to observe).
However, the focus of this latest "double-header" of a review is on the 2 follow-ups:
CHASE HQ II (Genesis, circa '92) - 2 new CSID cops have been introduced, dispatched by Nancy to pursue and apprehend various criminals in gangs & syndicates in 3 different vehicles - a red sportscar, a blue-and-brown 4-wheel drive, and a yellow-and-orange semi truck!
