The HIGHEST POSSIBLE QUALITY you can Record in OBS Studio... but you probably don't want to.
1,608OBS Studio has a "Simple Mode" for output settings with some very high quality presets that silly people like myself tend to ignore. One of them uses a completely lossless codec that I was using back in 2012 and 2013, but totally forgot about it. Let's investigate the highest possible quality that you can record in OBS Studio - but also cover the downsides.
NOTE: You can also switch the color spaces to RGB and Rec.709 in the Advanced tab for even more color accuracy! Just a lot more bandwidth required.
