Review of Thief, a modern reboot of the older Thief games from the 90s. This was developed by Eidos Montreal and published by their parent company, Square Enix. Originally announced in 2009, it had a few controversial reports during its development and lots of things were changed.

You play as Garrett, the master thief, and you steal stuff. The gameplay relies more on stealth than fast-paced action and combat. Whether on its own or compared to the Thief series of the 90s, how will the Thief reboot perform in the video game market?

The Initiative is a review and analysis series on newly-released PC games. The series will show my first impressions of the gameplay and features at face value, and analyze its longevity in the market and community.
